Loft Conversion and Extension
At Jeffrey Jordan Architects, we recently completed a project to transform a historic terraced house in a conservation area, balancing modern needs with heritage preservation. The project included a rear extension and a loft conversion to create a new bedroom with a dormer.

Given the property’s location in a conservation area, the design had to be carefully considered to respect the building’s historical value while adding much-needed space. The rear extension was designed to complement the existing structure, enhancing the functionality of the home without compromising its character.

The loft conversion, featuring a new dormer, provides a bright and spacious bedroom with improved headspace and natural light, while seamlessly blending with the building’s original roofline.
